New Guests added to the growing line up for Destination Star Trek Europe

Undoubtedly the secret to the success of Star Trek over the years has been the diversity in characters and cast. With entire universes to choose from, Star Trek has been able to capture so many different and unique races across the galaxies and the best and worst of humankind. Whether champions of peace or advocates of war, those at the heart of Trek's storylines all make for fascinating and imaginative episodes and movies tackling difficult and challenging issues.

As we celebrate Star Trek's 50th year, we are excited to announce two fantastic guests to help us celebrate at Destination Star Trek Europe -  Bobby Clark (Gorn from The Original Series) and Linda Park (Hoshi from Star Trek: Enterprise). With decades of episodes to choose from, you couldn't find two guests that more strongly illustrate the different ends of the Trek spectrum.

Clark represents the beginnings of Trek, appearing in the episode "Arena" from the very first season. The Gorn are one of the most memorable aliens from Trek history and have continued to be popular with fans since their original appearance, being used in comics, video games and books throughout the Trek continuity. The Gorn would make a return many years later in the Enterprise episode "In a Mirror, Darkly Part II" in an intriguing mirror universe set-up.

Park's character Hoshi Sato brought smarts and beauty to the Enterprise (NX-01), showing a loyalty and determination that we have all come to expect from a Starfleet officer. Following on from such influential Trek women as Nichelle Nichols and Kate Mulgrew, Linda Park carried on the tradition of strong and successful female casting that the franchise has always been proud of. Key episodes for Sato include "Countdown" and "Zero Hour" in which she plays an integral part in the battle against the Xindi - first being their prisoner and then helping to save Earth.

With even more guests to be announced, Destination Star Trek Europe is shaping up to be yet another unmissable event. Our lineup currently includes Wil Wheaton, William Shatner, George Takei and many more from The Original Series, The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, and Voyager. If you're looking to celebrate Star Trek's anniversary then this is a fantastic opportunity to meet fellow fans and some of the most popular names in Trek history.
